The Columbus Museum of Design is located in Columbus, Indiana. The project lies adjacent to buildings designed by I M Pei and Eliel Saarinen. The aim of my Museum is to create an immersive experience that focuses the attention of the visitors to the art as opposed to the nearby historic architecture. All of the vertical circulation takes place within the light well at the center of the building, and the galleries are meant to be small spot lit spaces that force a closer interaction to the works of art.
